Red Hook Farms
The CSL is collaborating with Red Hook Farms to educate high school youth on low-cost air quality sensor building and scientific literacy through a series of three workshops. The program serves dually as a skills training and educational program to familiarize and prepare young people to evolve in a number of technical and environmental fields. Students will gain a wide range of skills like soldering, coding, and environmental science literacy in hopes that offering a deeper scientific understanding will allow them to better advocate for themselves and their communities.
RISE at Rockaway
RISE (Rockaway Initiative for Sustainability and Equity) recruits Rockaway residents through civic engagement and youth development programs to protect and invigorate the coastal community. To empower Rockaway residents in ongoing issues with frequent flooding, we are collaborating with RISE to build and install flood sensors with open data access for public viewing.
Metropolitan Museum of Art
Our partners at the MET’s Department of Science Research are utilizing our air quality sensor equipment to measure the air quality of the museum, which is incredibly important for art preservation and maintenance.
